The non-existence of the ego

_______________________________________________________________________________

When one dies one thinks of the good and bad actions one has done. This is carried with you in the mind, nowhere else. These thoughts have no real existence, but if you say they exist, they follow you.

If you come to India, and some things are required for your your personal habits, do you bring your things along with you or not? In the same way, when you die and leave the body you bring your "good" and "bad" actions with you in your mind only . They don't exist, but your mind says they do. "I've done these things."

Nothing is good and nothing is bad in the world.. Why? Because it's not true. There is no barren woman's son. He never existed. The ego is like a barren womans son. It doesn't exist and but still you say, "I've done it."

The ego should be understood and left off. "I don't exist, I am not," this should be your understanding. In this way all actions in the moment are actionless.
