The Self, the only doer.

Whatever actions are done by the gross body, whatever dreams, desires, ideas, or doubts that have crossed the mind, happen only for the sake of the "One God," or the Self (Atmadeva), in order to please Him. If you recognize this much, your work is done.
All of you are doing something through your body or mind. You may say "I do not want to do it," yet you cannot stop from doing it. Whatever you do, the doer and the enjoyer of your deeds is only the Self, God Hari. This fact alone must be recognized in every movement.
All auspicious and inauspicious acts thus become dedicated to Brahman and the aspirant remains absolutely free. This is what is called sacrifice through knowledge (Dnyana Yadnya). When you come and go, speak or swallow a mouthful, when you give or take, stand or sit, do any actions at home or outside, in bed enjoying sex, leave off all shame (doership) and think only of God, the Self.
It is explained in the above paragraph how the "One Knowledge" alone is playing in all activity. To contemplate on this means contemplating on God. The body consciousness has to be turned into "Self Consciousness." The decision that "The Self alone is doing all of this," is the state of liberation. This is the advice given by Sarmatha Ramdas. Even Saint Tukaram asked for this gift from God, "May I never, never forget you." Likewise, we also must never forget the Self. Then, surely salvation is at your feet.
As the rope in the form of mind has been twisted in the direction of body consciousness, it has to be twisted in the opposite direction towards the Self. This way the rope gets untwisted, the strings get blown about by the wind, and there remans no rope worth it's name.
When a screw is screwed in, it has to be turned in the opposite direction to come out. Similarly with regard to the body consciousness, if the mind which is guided by the intellect is directed towards the Self, it becomes absorbed in the Self. As the mind gets directed towards Consciousness, Lord Rama, it gets absorbed in Lord Rama. The mind itself becomes Rama and there is nothing left in the form of mind inside or out, or anywhere, and it becomes one with the form of Lord Rama. An aspirant will see this for himself.
