Understanding the real nature of appearances.
____________________________________________________________________
Once the nature of the witnessing knowledge is known, the state of ignorance vanishes completely. While this is true, it is not true that the appearance of the seen, the "manifest," also vanishes.
By virtue of the intensity of study, one will experience that all that is seen, appears in the form of knowledge. When the gold is recognized in a piece of jewelry, the form of the jewelry does not change. Similarly, when the "Lord of the Universe" is known, the universe does not get destroyed.
When the light of a lamp destroys darkness, the objects which come to light do not vanish. At first there was no light and nothing was known beyond the fact that there were no objective forms. The nature of the objects becomes clearly known in the light. In the same way, when one is looking at, and feeling the world with blind eyes in the darkness of ignorance, the Sadguru's advice brings vision to one's sight.
When the flame of knowledge is shining in the heart, it spreads light everywhere and darkness is destroyed, while the world remains, with its true nature revealed. In this way, the point of view from which one views the world changes after one acquires "True Knowledge."
